Going With the Bridgestone Scooter Tire  (United States)

I've read what is available on using a car tire on the Burgman 650, and for the amount of work to get the car tire to fit, I'm wondering if it makes that much improvement over the Bridgestone scooter tire (160/60-14).  If it make a great improvement, it might be a thing to do----if it makes only a minor improvement, it may not be worth the change.  So----how well does the regular scooter tire do compared to the car tire?

Re: Going With the Bridgestone Scooter Tire  (Canada)

It is hard to say how the car tire will work out , I have not tried mine yet, but Danny says it is a smoother ride as side walls are softer and it should last a lot longer than bike tire. I used 2 tires last year, first one I ran with low air pressure to get a softer ride and wore out the tire, the last one probably would have got 5000 km out of it but I cut it off to put car tire on. I think a car tire should last a couple of years, better traction and give a smoother ride, but only time will tell.   Wayne
