warranty  (N/A)

If we put a conversion kit on a brand new 2009 Burgman 650 Executive, will the warranty be void?

Thanks...

Re: warranty  (Canada)

It would probably depend on your dealer if they will stand behind you.  I would not bother telling them if you could get away with it.  What kit were you going with, the trinity trike kit is just about ready for testing, Im getting the first one.    Wayne-seatec

Re: warranty  (N/A)

I was thinking of the tow-pac.  My husband is concerned about it voiding the warranty.  I called the warranty department & was told it would depend.  That it would be a case by case decision...depending on if the tow-pac caused the problem.  If it was determined that the tow-pac had nothing to do with any problem...the warranty will still be good.

Another issue my husband has, is the weight of the tow-pac.  Does putting on a trike kit affect the speed or ability to maintain speed over hills?

Thanks...

Re: warranty  (Canada)

I dont think you have to worry about speed with the 650, it got lots of power for a trike kit. Mine will pick up speed going up a hill with my wife on, more than enough power.    Wayne

Re: warranty  (N/A)

You can always remove the tow-pac.

The quick removal is 5 bolts to take it off an ride it two wheels which is the way my dealer wanted it to do the oil changes etc. Probably 10 to 15 min time.

Also makes it easy to get on one of the motorcycle lift tables like for changing tires etc.

It takes quite a while to take  the other brackets off as their mounts are under the tupperware.

Good luck with your decision...Sonny
