Is Danson as easy to remove as Tow-Pacs?  (N/A)

Hi, I am in search of a trike kit for my wifes burgman 400s and I believe the Tow-pac removes within about 20 minutes. This would be nice if I wanted to ride the bike once and a while and especially to remove for winter storage. How long does the Danson take to install and remove? Would it be too much hassle to install and remove each spring and winter?

Thanks,

Andy

On the 650, there is 6 bolts to remove to take the kit off, but you still have the brackets on the side of the bike which you have to leave on, so it makes it hard to drive with wheels off, but for storage its no problem.   Wayne

Thanks for the quick reply Wayne. I would assume that the 400 would be quite similar. It would probably work for us, as I would normally only ride my 650, and if I wanted to ride the 400, it would be fun with the trike kit! Thanks,

andy

I don't understand what you mean by hard to drive with the brackets on.

I haven't had a problem like that the few times I've done it. Although I'll admit I mostly enjoy it with the Tow Pac on.

On my Danson  on the 650 there is brackets that have to stay on bike when you take the wheels off. If you try to drive it they will hit the ground when you make a turn, just about dumped mine first time i tried, would be too much work to take off for just a ride, but can be done if you want to go to the hassel, I dought if any one does.  Tow pac is different, so it comes off easy and nothing in wayI would think.  Wayne
