2007 Suzuki Burgman 400  (United States)

Hi ... I have a 12" kit on order for my wife's B 400, due in about a week.  I'd appreciate any help from members that have these things already .... installation pitfalls, riding tips, whatever is out there.

I hear the instructions leave a lot to be desired .... I have downloaded the instructions for the 650, and they are not very clear to me .... hopefully, it will be clearer when all the parts are in front of me.

Thanks in advance,

Mike Greener

Welcome Mike, Im sure some one will be able to help. Did you check the Danson before you bought, there is also a true 3 wheel kit comming out for the 400 and 650 soon, I think we are going to see more trike kits for the 650 as they are so popular.  wayne

Re: 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400  (N/A)

Mike if the 400 is anything like the 650 it becomes pretty evident where everything goes once you unpack the Tow-Pac and lay out the peices.

You are right in that unless the instructions have been upgraded since I got mine.

Hopefully someone with the Tow-Pac on a 400 will chime in.

Good luck.....Sonny

Re: 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400  (N/A)

Hello;  I'm new to the site, just joined yesterday.  I am curious about the 'true 3 wheel kit' comming out for the Burgman 650.  I don't presently own a scooter, and haven't riden since 1988 due to hip problems, but that is all fixed now and I am looking forward to riding again.  My ride will have to be on '3' wheels though due to weakness in my right leg.

I like the Danson kit, but if there is a true 3 wheel kit comming out, I may wait and see what it is like.   I can't afford the big GW trikes, and the Burgman seems to be a better ride than the SW.

If anyone knows anything about this new kit, or where to see it on the web, I would appreciate the info.

Thanks for the site.

Perry

Re: 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400  (Canada)

Welcome Perry.   www.trinitytrike.com is building  trike kits for a lot  of small bikes and they are working on the burgman 400 now according to their web site. They said they will have one for the 650 next.  There is  a Company in BC, Canada also  that said they are planning a trike kit for the 650, dont know how they are doing with it.  They have them in Japan called a Skywave Trike, also England has a trike kit. I think its just the begenning for trike kit for the 650 as they are so popular and the GW is so expensive.  The Danson is a good kit,  Towpac is not to bad from what I hear, Voyager gets a lot of bad reports from what I hear, but dont know my self , just what I read when I was researeching fot kits. I plan on trying a trinity kit when they are avaiable, and if it drives as good as the Danson I would be happy, as mine handles great and is smooth, but I did a lot of suspension work on it and have a car tire, so wife says it drives like dream for her on the back.  Always got to be trying new things, want to come up with a new body design which I thikk will look better than  the one I have now.    Wayne

Re: 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400  (N/A)
Mike, I have a 400 burgman and am thinking about the TowPak. Has the kit come and have you installed it. I am interested in any problems that it does to the burgy. I have read that it can kill the belt, damage the tranny, break off parts of the frame. ETC. so what is the score so far????Walrus Burgman K5 AN400 Blue
